Join us for a fun, hands-on evening of creative sewing at Variegated Roots! We’re thrilled to welcome Suzanne from HB Bag Co to guide you through making your very own lined, boxed-corner zipper pouch from start to finish.

Never sewn a zipper before? No problem! This workshop is designed specifically for beginners. If you know how to turn on your sewing machine and sew a basic straight line, you can make this pouch! You’ll learn how to insert zippers cleanly, construct sturdy boxed corners, and assemble a professional-looking pouch you can use every day or gift to someone special.

What’s Included:
All Fabric & Hardware Materials: You’ll choose your custom kit the evening of the class—with an array of curated fabric styles, prints, and colors available to fit every aesthetic!
Step-by-Step Instruction: Dedicated guidance from Suzanne of HB Bag Co to walk you through technique, pressing, and finishing touches.
BYOB Friendly: Feel free to bring your favorite drinks and snacks to enjoy while you sew!

What to Bring:
Your Sewing Machine: Please bring your personal, working sewing machine (with power cord and foot pedal) and standard sewing accessories (bobbins, needles, scissors/snips).

Registration & Attendance:
Limited Capacity: Space is strictly limited to ensure plenty of table room and personalized guidance for each participant. Advance registration is required.

Arrival: Free parking in municipal lot behind shop. Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to check in, grab a seat, and settle in. All tools and crafting supplies are provided.
